Cushinstown National School
Welcome to Cushinstown National School’s website. We are a vertical co-educational mainstream school with 228 pupils. We opened an ASD class in September 2008 and it was full by September 2009. We currently have nine mainstream class teachers, an ASD class teacher, two Special Education teachers two Resource teachers and an administrative Principal. We also have four full-time SNAs.
Welcome back everyone and a very special welcome to our new Junior Infants and we also have a couple of new faces in other classes too, so welcome everyone.
What a busy summer we have had at Cushinstown this year! No doubt you will remember the tremendous effort everyone in school made towards the end of last school year for our entry into the Dulux Let's Colour Project. Well, our hard work paid off: Cushinstown were the overall winners, winning €6,500 worth of paint for our school. We are delighted with the result and I’m sure you will all agree that our new paint and colour design make-over is fabulous. It’s a pleasure to start the new school year with such lovely surroundings so well done to all! I look forward to seeing all the great things you will be doing during the year and hearing all about the things you will be learning.
